Enabling SSL for your email in Windows 10 mail
How do I enable SSL in Windows mail 10 ?
Step 1
Open Windows 10 Mail on your computer.
Step 2
Right click the mailbox you want enable SSL on and select Account Settings.
Step 3
The account settings window will now appear, click Change mailbox sync settings.
Step 4
Scroll to the bottom of the Sync Settings window and click Advanced Mailbox settings.

Step 5
If you have a Standard mailbox you will need to use the SMTP settings supplied by your internet provider.
- Incoming email server: Set this to mail.livemail.co.uk:993
- Outgoing (SMTP) email server: Set this to smtp.livemail.co.uk:465
- Require SSL for incoming email: Tick this box.
- Require SSL for outgoing email: Tick this box.
If you are using POP instead of IMAP set Incoming email server to mail.livemail.co.uk:995
Step 5
Click Done, then Save. Your mailbox is now set up using SSL in Windows 10 Mail.
